THE REVEAL

THE REVEAL is a free, department-by-department assessment of your company. It asks what each function actually does day to day, where the hours go, where handoffs break, and what is still done by hand. It then produces an operating roadmap that maps your bottlenecks to automation capabilities that already exist, and that roadmap is walked through with Travis on a 30 minute call.

It is not a readiness quiz. The questions branch by industry, the scoring is deterministic, and every recommendation points at something that has already been built and deployed for a real company.

Start THE REVEAL

The instrument

Six lenses, every department, same scale.

Every function you assess is scored on the same six lenses, which is what makes them comparable to each other on one chart. Sales and finance get graded on the same axes, so the answer to "where do we start" comes out of the data instead of out of whoever complained loudest.

R

Role

What is this department actually accountable for, in their own words.

E

Effort

Where the hours physically go in a normal week.

V

Volume

How much throughput moves through it, so we can size the prize.

E

Exceptions

Where handoffs break and rework starts.

A

Automation

What is already automated versus what is still hands on keyboard.

L

Leverage

What would actually change if this were handled.

Name: REVEAL stands for Role, Effort, Volume, Exceptions, Automation, Leverage. The six lenses every department is scored on. The acronym IS the instrument. This is the approved name.

Coverage

Seven functions. You pick which ones exist.

Small companies wear multiple hats and that is fine. Select the functions that genuinely exist, even if one person owns three of them. You are only asked about what you select, which is how the assessment stays deep without becoming a chore.

+

Sales

Anyone who quotes, follows up, or closes.

+

Marketing

Demand generation, website, content, reviews, brand.

+

Operations

Scheduling, dispatch, procurement, production planning.

+

Service Delivery

The people who actually do the work the client bought.

+

Finance

Invoicing, AR, AP, payroll, reconciliation, reporting.

+

Admin

Inbox, phones, scheduling, paperwork, data entry.

+

People and HR

Hiring, onboarding, documentation, retention.

Why it is not generic

The questions branch by industry.

A manufacturer gets asked about expedites and three-way matching. A home services company gets asked about dispatch boards and whether change orders make it onto the final invoice. A SaaS company gets asked whether AI assistants name them when a buyer asks for tools in their category. Same six lenses, different questions.

The output

What you walk away with.

The scored breakdown

Every department you assessed, scored 0 to 100 on available automation leverage, banded, and ranked. You see it the moment you finish, before you talk to anybody.

The roadmap

Written from your answers, sequenced into phases, and mapped to capabilities that already exist rather than capabilities that would need to be invented for you.

The review call

Thirty minutes with Travis to walk the roadmap, argue with it, and decide what is actually worth doing first. No obligation attached to it.

The rest of the questions change based on this answer. We are not going to ask a manufacturer about no-show rates.

Questions about THE REVEAL

What is THE REVEAL?

THE REVEAL is a free department-by-department assessment of your company. It asks what each function actually does day to day, where the hours go, where handoffs break, and what is still done by hand. It then produces an operating roadmap that maps your specific bottlenecks to automation capabilities that already exist, and that roadmap is walked through with Travis Piepho on a 30 minute call.

How long does THE REVEAL take to complete?

Between 12 and 25 minutes depending on how many departments you select. You answer six firmographic questions once, then roughly ten questions per department you choose. Most companies select four to six departments. Your progress is saved in your browser, so you can stop and come back.

What do I actually get at the end?

Three things. A scored breakdown of every department you assessed, ranked by how much automation leverage is available. A written roadmap generated from your answers and mapped to capabilities that already exist, sequenced into phases. And two standing deliverables: a v2 Intelligence Brief on your market and competitors, and an AEO and SEO Report Card grading where you stand in search and in AI answers today.

Is THE REVEAL free?

Yes. The assessment, the scored breakdown, the roadmap and the 30 minute review call are free. It exists so that a conversation about automating your business starts from evidence about your business instead of a generic pitch.

How is THE REVEAL different from a generic AI readiness quiz?

Two ways. First, the question set branches by industry, so a manufacturer is asked about expedites and three-way matching while a home services company is asked about dispatch and change orders. Second, every recommendation in the roadmap points at a capability that has already been built and deployed for another company, not at something that sounds good in a proposal.

What do the six lenses in REVEAL measure?

Every department is scored on the same six lenses so departments are directly comparable. Role is what the department is accountable for. Effort is where the hours physically go. Volume is how much throughput moves through it. Exceptions is where handoffs break and rework starts. Automation is what is already automated versus still manual. Leverage is what would actually change if it were handled.

Who should take THE REVEAL?

The owner, the general manager, or whoever can honestly answer how the work really flows between functions. If you have to guess at half the answers, bring in the person who would know. The output is only as good as the honesty of the input.

What happens to my answers?

They are used to build your roadmap and to prepare for your review call. They are not sold, not shared with other companies, and not used as a case study without your written permission.
